I'm coming home!!!!!!

I'm coming home tomorrow!!!!!!!! Well, today we went to a walk, but then my mom decided not to do it, so then we went straight to Ljubljana (you do know that Ljubljana is the Slovenian capital, of course you don't). Once we parked, we walked around and went over (almost)  every bridge. Then we went to the market, there was food, but not what I was looking for (you do know that I was looking for the Slovenian national team soccer jersey, of course you do) Then we walked around town and my sister and my mom went into some (in there words) "cute" stores (no offense). Then we went to 2 different sports stores and I was able to choose one jersey which I really like. Then we went to go to our hotel, and right now, I am in my parents bed blogging. Swimming, eating, hiking, and sleeping is what we do here

What a day it was!!!!!!!! First, we went to a bakery where I got a bread roll and Sarah got a loaf of bread. Then we drove to a very narrow and unstable bridge where my mom almost vomited. Then we drove go a different bridge that was even more unstable, and my mom also almost vomited again. Then we drove to a hike that was really beautiful and have bridges that (you guest it) my mom almost vomited (isn't that really "surprising"). There'd where also a few caves where my mom got creeped out because she thought that there were "bats and spiders" (Ohhhhhh, spooky) (no offense mom). Then, we went to a restaurant and got fries (yeah, there still popular half way across the world) and played hearts. Then, my dad made pasta and we had that for dinner, and then me, my dad and my sister went to get (in my words) on of the worlds best ice-creams. So now, I'm laying in my parents bed and blogging. Only 2/1 days until I see you!!!!! Slovenia, over and out.

Boy my legs are about to explode!!!!!

What a tiring day!!!! Well, some exciting news, when I woke up, I woke up squezed against the side of the bed because Sarah had rolled over so much that she pushed me to the wall and I woke up with her hand on my stomach, it was VERY freaky. Then, we went to Savica falls, which was quite nice (I know I sound like a very mature man, but believe me, I am not mature). Later we went to some random falls in some random town. The wLk was about 10 k but it felt longer. In the beginning of the walk, there were mini steams running through the middle of the path, so that made it even more beautiful. We got lost a few times with the forks in the road. Deeper into the path was a gorge, which was 'gorge'ous get it 'gorge'ous, but really, it was really cool because of how thin it was at times, it was so thin, that if you stretched your body out from one side to the other, you would make with room to spare. After that there was an area which Sarah called mountain goat climbing which was just a bumpier steeper path. Once we got to the falls, we found out that it wasn't really worth it because the 3 hour walk Was to only one waterfall which wasn't so cool. So after that, we walked another hour and a half back and drove back to the hotel. After that me and my dad went to go grocery shopping and to also get icecream that chocolate was extremely good, it competes for best chocolate on the trip. So as we say here, Caio!!!!!!

Less than a week!!!!

I can't believe that in less than a week I am going to see you all!!! well,on to the good stuff (not that isn't the good stuff). Today we went to a city called Rovinj, it was really pretty, and the ice-cream (should I say gelato) was outstanding!!! We walked around, we got grapes, peaches, and 2 containers of amazing raspberries, and Sarah got a pouch of Lavender or some other kind of smelly (good smelly) spice or weed. After that we went to the end of the peninsula, which had some huge waves that were much taller than me, so Sarah wore her floaty arm bands. then we drove back and now we are getting ready for dinner. I miss you so much!!! Mr. Awesome, over and out.

My Checklist

My checklist

O boy, what a fun (and painful) day!!!! First, I will tell you my day in a checklist fashion, then in regular fashion.  wake up a 6 am, check,  go to the worlds most beautiful place, check, go eat lunch , check, get a bee sting on my bottom lip, check,  take a three hour drive, check, stay in a beautiful apartment, check, go swimming, check, and, finally, get a second bee sting on my palm, check, check, and check.  
To start it off, we went to the worlds most beautiful place, which was (in my words, "breathtaking") outstanding because how clean the water was and you could see right through it, and there were these waterfalls, some where huge, and some where small. But just how peaceful it was made it even more pretty. After that, we went to a park to eat lunch, and there was a fair there. Once we sat down, we ate lunch, and then I got first bee sting of the day. I do not want to go into further detail . After that, we drove to the Istrean peninsula, and we are staying in a nice apartment. After that, I got my second sting, which I also don't want to start talking about. After that, we went swimming, and now we are eating in a nice restaurant. Croatia, over and out.
 

Hot, beautiful, just another day in paradise!!!!

What a day yesterday was!!! To start it off, we walkedd around town and got breakfast,then went to Diocleashan's palace. Then, we went to the bassements and looked at all the cool stuff. After that we went to the bell tower which me, my dad,and my bosy sister. At the top, we had one of the greasest view I've seen!!! After that we walked around the riva (the main strip) played hearts and ate French fries. It was a lot of fun (sorry, I forgot to mention that I got a Croatian soccer jersey that says Modric (you pronounce it as Modrich)) Later, we took siesta's. Later at night, we went to the same restaurant as before and got and did the egxact same thing.
Today, we drove out of Split and started to drive up to some waterfalls. Once we got there,we walked the trail and at the main waterfall(s) there was a swimming area, in the beginning,it was cold, but once I dunked, it was much more pleasant. After that we drove up to the place that we're staying in which has the worlds most beautiful waterfall(s) (by the way, it's from the websites that my mom surfed). Right now, we're in our apartment. So as we say here, Caio!!!

Where back!!!

We are now finally back in Croatia (and grandpa, there is no such person you speak of)!!! What a tiring day it was! We woke up and went to a bakery, I didn't like it there, so I got a better bread roll at a grocery store across the road. After that we looked around a church and then walked around the old city in Mostar, Bosnia. We went to a mosque and me my sister and my dad went up the minaret On the way down was the excitement.We got stuck behind a scared lady who was yelling at the top of her lunges every few seconds. It was nerve shocking. After that we hoped into the car and drove to some pools with waterfalls and swam there, it was really cool, but pleasant. The real shock of the day was when I got out of the car and found a wasp on the back of my foot, It was painful for only about 20 min. But it was very, very scary for me. After that we drove to Split and there we got ice-cream, I got chocolate and Sarah got snickers. Then my dad made pasta and now Sarah and my mom are playing steel the bundle (a grandpa Michael game). Up the mountain (yesterday)

What a day!  To start it off we hiked up a 1350 stair climb to a fortress on top of a hill.  It took 2 hours.  Next, we went to a beach called blue horizon, which was packed.  After an hour it started to rain.  We then had a picnic in the car for lunch.  Me and Sarah did a blind test taste with the different cheeses daddy bought.  After it stopped raining, mom and Sarah took a nap and me and daddy read books.  By the way, the book I'm readiing is called zlata's diary.  It is about a girl from Sarajevo during the war.  I like this book because it puts the war in a different perspective.  Even during the war, Zlata still had fun whether it was in her basement or at school.  

After that we went to go get ice cream, we went to a cafe.  We played hearts.  Sarah won and daddy lost.  It was a great day.  Sarah will continue the story for today.  Bosnia, over and out.  

2 countries, 1 day

 a day!! To start things off, we drove 2 1/2 hours to get to Montenegro.

The traffic in Croatia was great because there was no traffic at all, but in Montenegro, right after the border, the traffic was horrendous. It took us half a hour for what would have took 2 minutes without traffic. But after the Montenegro border control, it was much better.

 
         
       






Once we checked into our apartment (notice how I didn't say hotel, you know why, because it isn't) we walked around the old city, and it is magnificent place with all this great architecture and great history. After that we went to get ice-cream that was actually recommended in a book that my parents read and use as their guide for the trip like it's the guide to life. I got chocolate, Sarah got cookies, and my mom and my dad shared raspberry.




After that we went swimming and I got some really cool rocks for Sarah from underwater. Sarah will probably tell you more about that. And then we got dinner from a pizza place and watched a making of some movie or something like that. I think they just did it to mess with the people. It was kind of funny because the director had no idea what she was doing. So long for now!!!!!! Montenegro, over and out.

Island hoping

Today was a very tired day!!!! To start it off, we got to the port because we were going to go to an island called Lopud and found that are ship was a huge cruise size boat, but actually it was a medium sized boat instead.

Once we got there, I saw a great small almost hidden beach. Since we had got snorkeling gear, we snorkeled and found fish, oral and sea urchins (the prickly things). It was really cool.

After that, we went to walk around Lopud, and found another beach, which we also swam in because it was really hot (that's a lie, the sun was hot, it wasn't so hot out, so in the shade it was very pleasant). After going swimming we went to get ice-cream, and it was very good. After that, me and Sarah went to go get mangos (alright, alright, Sarah says they were peaches, but anyway, they made American fruit taste rotten).



And now my dad and sister went to get pasta for dinner tonight. So tomorrow night I will not be in Croatia, but in Montenegro!!!!!!! So as we say here, dobar (that means goodbye)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

what a day!!!!

What a day!!! To start the day off, we walked we walked the city walls, where I learned about the Dubrovnik siege, anyway, it was beautiful, and in my words, every view is better than the next.

  

 

                                

 

Than we listened to some renaissance music, then went to a couple museums, than got lunch an ate at around the walls, and on a small area were we swam.

And later learned that were we went to and were e got the food was the ideal thing to do according to a book. Then we cameback and all took a nap, then we went to try the cable cars, but they didn't work. after that we went to a beach that had a platform that we Could jump off, and it was really fun.

We made it!!!!!!!

What a day!!!!!!! To start the day off, we woke up at 12:50 and went to the airport. And a good thing too, because the check-in line was as long a a basketball court. We were in the online check-in line, but the people who were supposed to be in the regular economy line were in the online check-in line, so the regular economy line was going quicker than the online check-in line. So, after 2 hours in the line, they finally moved the people to the other line, and at security, customs and border control were uneventful. So was the flight. After that, at security at Frankfurt I saw a familiar face, it was my dad!!!! I hadn't seen him in a month. The rest of the day was uneventful, and we are in our room now (by the way, it isn't a hotel room, it, an apartment).

Today was my last day in Israel!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I leave Miriam's house around 1:15/1:30 am. So, I have to go to bed at 6:45/7:00. Well, today, for breakfast we went to a little restaraunt not far from my great grandpa's house. At breakfast, there was Marla (my step-auunt) and 1 of her 3 kids (her kids are Sheri, Guy, and Tali) (Tali was the one at breakfast), Micheal (my step-uncle) and his 3 kids, my great grandpa, my great step-grandma, my mom, my sister, and yours truly,  #14 Mr. Awesome a.k.a. Benny!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm going to miss Israel, but I'm glad that I get to go to Croatia,Slovenia, Bosia, and Montenegro. So bye!!!!!!!!!!! The next time you'll hear about me will be in Croatia (and yes Grandpa Micheal, I will blog as much as I can)!!!!!!!!! Last day here!!!

Today is the last day in Kfar Varedim!!!!! We are going to Tel-Aviv tomorrow because we also leave tomorrow (well, we acually leave on friday, but at crazy hours, we get up at 1 am and our flight is at 5 am). Well, today, we did nothing except go to the pool and watch movies. Now, my step-great grandma's son and daughter brought there family and we all had dinner together. So tomorrow will be the last day a blog in Israel!!!! I'm going to miss Israel so much!!!!!!!!!I miss you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry

Sorry about yesterday, I didn't have time to blog last night. So, anyway, yesterday, for about 5 hours, we did nothing. Lter, we went to a kibbutz that did water rafting on the Jordan river. It wasn't white water rafting because (apart from a small fall) there wasn't any white water!!! Anyway, I did most of the rowing, and beacause there was 2 oars, Sarah and my mom traided of padling on the other side. So, I got a pretty good workout. After that, we went back to our house and went swimming.
Today, for 6 hours, we (agian) did nothing. Around noon, we went to a really good hamburger joint. They were the 3rd best hamburgers I've ever tasted (behind Redemax and Edzo's). Aftwer that, we went to the pool for 3 1/2 hours it was a lot of fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I miss you all so much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And if you want to see something really cool, go to google and search my name!!! I'm on ABC 7, ABC 12, and Nick.com!!!!!!!!! Bye!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Today

Today was defintely multi-cultural :) (you'll get why that's funny in a sec.). To start the multi-cultural part we went to the Dome of the Rock which is SO much cooler than it looks :)!!!!! The architecture is outstanding!!!!!! Even though it was built about 2,000 years ago, the style is almost modern!!!!!Than after that we saw (or what they think) is the only part of the Bet Ha'migdash (true fact: the Kotel is a supporting wall of the Bet Ha'migdash, not part of the Bet Ha'migdash) Then we walked around the area and saw the real muslim deal. Apparently, the Dome of the Rock isn't the real deal. It's a mosque called the Al-Asqa Mosque. After that, we went to check out of our hotel (before, I said it was an okay hotel, but it was SO cool!!!! There was a pool, a nice breakfast/dinner buffet,and an AWESOME game room)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hope it's gets better there in the US with all the heat. But I think it is hotter in Israel than there (either that or the dry heat that I'm not used to makes it 30-35 degrees hotter). I miss you all :) :) :) :)!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Day 2

What a day that was!!!!! First, our cousins from Tel-Aviv (Miriam, Gilad, Yael, Yiftach, and Nadav) came the night before. That day, we walked to the old city from our hotel (which is about a 2 mile walk, all up hill). After that, we walked through the shuk. Sarah got some jewelery, and I got a Beitar Jerusalem jersey which is black and yellow. It's really cool. After that, we went back to the hotel and went swimming. So that day was really fun!!! I miss you!!!!

I'm back!!!!!!!!!!

        What a trip!!!!!!!!!!!!!! To break the three days up, for each day I'm going to write a different post. Thanks for understanding!!!!
      On the first day, we left my granparents for Jerusalem. The first thing we did in Jerusalem was check into our rooms in the Dan Jearusalem hotel. We were in room 514. After that, we took a cab to the Israel museum were we saw in the kids wing, a truck without the frame or the truck part. It was just engine, bumpers, and some other stuff. In the archaeology wing, we saw stuff from the persian and roman empire and when they ruled Israel. Then we went to see the 2nd temple model just in mini version, which were I was able to se all of Jerusalem as what it looked like in 2nd temple period. It was awesome. Then we saw one of the oldest copies of the torah (or a portion of the torah). They were called the dead sea scrolls. Also with them were some of the oldest parts of the tanach. It was so cool!! It is also one of the Jews most important artifacts. That's anough for that day!! I miss you!!!!!

You do not know how HOT I am!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

Is it just me, or is it boiling over here!?!?!?! I can't wait to go to Jerusalem tonight!!!! (Whoops, did I not tell you that) oh well. Today was my last day of camp!!!! Sarah has camp next week, but I don't. Today, (at camp)we went to a pool, where there were 3 slides, and regular swimming area. We were there for a good 4/5 hours. Later today, we (as in me, my mom and my sister) are driving to Jerusalem and where going to stay at a average hotel. Since there might not be any connection to the internet, we might not be able to blog for 3/4 days. So until then, Bye!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm sweating over here!!!!

Boy, o boy, it's hot over here!!!!!! I'd say it was about 89 degrees F. here (but since were not used to the dry heat, it feals like 94 degrees F.). Well, on to the important stuff. Today, I had a playdate with a friend that I made at camp. His name was Eliahu (the name like the prophet). First, we played Fifa 11 for my first time (well, really it was my first time playing on a Xbox) I was okay at it, then we ate lunch, his mom hade made shnitzel and pasta, then I showed him 2 games on the computer, and finaly, we played soccer in his backyard. After that, me, my mom, and my sister went swimming. Then we came home, then me, my grandpa, my mom, and my sister had a taki tournament (taki is sort of like uno). My grandpa has won 8 games, Sarah has won 6 games, I have won 4 games, and my mom has 1 game. Then, my grandma made thick crust pizza, which was really good. Then we watched the sunset set over the hills. Then we roasted marshmellows over the stove, I burnt 2 of them, which I gave to my mom, and then the 3rd one, I actually was able to do it. So, after that, I had a popcicle, and then I started bloging. So, so long!!!!! I miss you all!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Boy, I'm really TIRED!!!!!

Today was so hectic!!! Today, we started off with a 3 movie marathon. We watched Flushed Away, the old Karate Kid, and Tom and Jerry.Later we went to Tzfat to see our friends (yes, the same friends as yesterday). We went to the pool, where we met a kid named Shlomo (translation:Solmon) and played the same water polo/football/soccer game as we did yesterday. Then after that, we went to walk to the old city in Tzfat (we never made it there) but on our way there, we went to the artist colony, where my mom got this really cool picture of a tree in Israeli water colors. Then we went for dinner at some restaraunt in downtown Tzfat, then we went for icecream, I got chocolate, Sarah got strawberry sherbert, Jonah got bubblegum, and Micah got pistachio. Then we walked back to there hotel to say goodbye (not really, because we're going to see them in Jerusalem next week). Shalom (as we say here). I can't wait to see you all again!!!!!!! I'm very hot, and very happy

What a day!!!! Today was sort of martial arts day, we learned a little bit of the israeli martial arts. We also learned kung fu and kickboxing (I already knew a little kickboxing). At the end of the day, some of the councelors put on a kung fu show. Later today, we went to Tzfat to see a couple kids from my school. We went to the pool where Jonah (the oldest), Micah (the youngest) and me played water polo/football/soccer in the pool with a couple of freinds we made there. Then we went to dinner, which was in Tzfat, so we walked there (because there hotel was close to where we were going). After dinner,we walked around and got some icecream. Jonah and Micah got bubblegum, Sarah got chocolate and banana, and I got chocolate. Then we walked around some more and saw a old jail that had been ruined in the 1948 Independence War. It also had a lot of bullets holes. There was a watch tower separate from the jail, and both the watch tower and the jail (which is now part of a school) had bullet holes in them.  So long for now!!! I miss you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What a day!!!

 What a day!!!! I started it off with a 2 movie marathon. Then my sister,my mom, my step-aunt, and I went to the pool. We were there for 2 hours, and for most of the time, me and my sister wrestled. tonight I'm going to a sushi restaraunt with my gandma, my grandpa, my step-aunt, her kids (they might or might not come, or some might come and the other won't come, but you get the idea) named Guy, Talia, and Sheri, my mom, and my sister. But before that, we are going to go shoping in Karmiel. I miss you all!!!!! Later!!!!!!!

The trip (in a trip) was awesome!!!

 Sorry I didn't blog yesterday. I could'nt blog because I was up in the Golan hights. Yesterday, we did 2 hikes, saw a waterfall called Banias. It was beautiful. Then we went to go to Senir (which is a water hike) , but when we got there, it was going to close in 9 minutes. So when we went to dinner, we saw a huge forest fire, that we later learned that it was caused by a couple of kids barbecuing. It burned 2 national preserves, and a few cattle fields. We checked in to a hotel called Hagoshrim. It was a kibbutz-hotel. And luckly we got the last room available. Today, we went to Senir, but found a huge (and slow) group hiking in the water with us. So around halfway, we turned around and went to the beginning then turned around and kept walking the trail, then at the end of th trail, the group took the land trail back to the beginning. Then later to day, we went to Misgav Am where we learned all about its history because it's on the Israel Lebananon border and it had been attacked. Sorry I blog any more, my grandma is making me get dressed to go out for dinner. See'ya!!! I miss you!!!!!

What a long (and excited) day!!!

What a long (and exciting) day!!!! Today, I didn't go to camp today because I didn't want to go to the pool with the camp. Instead, I went to a waterpark with sarah, my mom, Marla (my step-aunt), and my cousin Sheri. The waterpark was in Tibereas, so it was very hot (because Tibereas is one of the hottest places in Israel). We where there for about 3 1\2 hours and I did a lot of slides. The blue slides were the easiest of them, then the red slides were the medium slides, and then the white one was the hardest slides because it was a straight drop. Im not going to be blogging for a few days because were going to the Golan. So, until then, So long!!! I miss you!!!!!

Water gun day!!!!

Today was water gun day. We each got a water gun that hooked up to the top a bottle. We went to a field where we played capture the flag. It's not the ordinary capture the flag. Instead of taging people, we had to squirt them with water. And instead of going to jail, you had to go tell a councelor that you got squirted and they would take a point off of your team (each team gets points from how they do in activities). The teams were 3rd grade vs. 4th grade. It was a tie. Next, we did the same thing, except that it was kids vs. councelors, and the kids didn't have a flag to guard, so we all charged the councelors. It was a lot of fun, they bombed us with water balloons, and we sprayed them with water from our water guns. We found a passage way behind to where the councelors had put there flag. we tried that way it didn't work in the beginning, but then towards the end of the game, it worked out, and that's how we got the councelors flag. I got soaked because me and my freind, Yo'av, had a water gun fight. It was a lot of fun. So long!!!! I miss you guys all a lot!!!!!

What a long day!!!

(As I said in the title) what a long day!!! I spent a quarter of the day in a lousy bus with some big mouth, big skull, little brain maniacs, where I got a fat headache and I also got nauseous. Definetly not my best 3 hours. Then we got to the Sachne (natrural water pool) and started swimming. The water was very nice, but it was to hot outside, so when we changed we had to wait in the blazing sun for about half an hour. When we went back, again I also sat in a bus full of big mouth, big skull, little brain maniacs all the way for Sachne (near Tiberias) to Kvar Vardiim (which is a about an hour and a half drive). So, in the end, my day was okay. Laters!!!!

What a great day!!!

Today was a great day!!! I was a little nervous when I started camp. Then, I made 2 friends, and then I made a lot more friends. Today, we made pita (that we made) on a fire (which we also made).Then, we covered ourselves with mud, then we played in a patch with a lot of trees, the counselors were sitting in the far end of the field, in the middle, and we had to sneak up on the counselors, and we used the mud for camo, but the catch was, if a councelor saw you, you would have to go to the beginning of the field. Then we ate lunch (around 10:00). Then we learned how to tie knots. Then we made huts, each group made there own hut, i was in Dan's group. Are hut looks really good. At camp today, I spoke hebrew more than english. Today was thebest day so far in Israel (besides landing here)!!!!! So long for now!!! I miss you!!!!! 

Wer'e up north

Boy, it's hot over here!!! It's 90 degrees here, and I spent half of it in a car (well, really a quarter of our day, but you get the idea).  I'm staying here with my grandparents house in Ma'alot. We start camp tomorrow with my sister. We thinkwe might go to see my other cousins at the gas station (it's no a gas station or a restaurant called the gas station, it's a restaurant at a gas station). Please comment!!

A Day of Firsts

Today was an exciting (and slightly painful) day!! Today was my first full day here in Israel, Today was also (surprisingly) my first day at a beach in Israel, Today was my first day in the Mediterranean sea, and Today, I got my first jellyfish sting(that's the painful part).  Tonight, my aunt and uncle are coming for  dinner , i haven't seen them in so long. We made it!!!!

After a day and a half of planes and airports, we finally made it to Israel!!!!! I felt sorry to leave my dad for so long. As we landed in Frankfurt, I saw the Womens World Cup stadium, it was HUGE!!!!! Anyway, as we got to my Aunt Miriam's house, I saw my 3 cousins, Yeftach, the oldest son, Yeal, the middle child, and Nadav. They all came running to the door.I missed them so much, I was glad to see them. For dinner tonight, Me, my sister, my mom, Yeftach, Yeal, Nadav, and there babysiter went to a street fair and had pizza and pasta at a cafe.

We're going to leave today!!!!! are plane leaves at 3:40 so we leave our house around 1:00. Today we just go through the final packing. My mom, sister, and I are going to Israel . My dad is staying.Sarah and I are going to camp up north in Kfar Vradim. We are going to stay at my grandparents for the weekdays, then go down to either Tel-Aviv or Jerusalem for the weekends. Then after 3 1/2 weeks in Israel we are going to Croatia and Bosnia for a road trip along the Mediterranean sea. There my dad will meet us. we are going to be there for 2 weeks. It's going to be a blast!!!
