My Checklist

My checklist

O boy, what a fun (and painful) day!!!! First, I will tell you my day in a checklist fashion, then in regular fashion.  wake up a 6 am, check,  go to the worlds most beautiful place, check, go eat lunch , check, get a bee sting on my bottom lip, check,  take a three hour drive, check, stay in a beautiful apartment, check, go swimming, check, and, finally, get a second bee sting on my palm, check, check, and check.
To start it off, we went to the worlds most beautiful place, which was (in my words, "breathtaking") outstanding because how clean the water was and you could see right through it, and there were these waterfalls, some where huge, and some where small. But just how peaceful it was made it even more pretty. After that, we went to a park to eat lunch, and there was a fair there. Once we sat down, we ate lunch, and then I got first bee sting of the day. I do not want to go into further detail . After that, we drove to the Istrean peninsula, and we are staying in a nice apartment. After that, I got my second sting, which I also don't want to start talking about. After that, we went swimming, and now we are eating in a nice restaurant. Croatia, over and out.

  1. Wow, Ben, How did we miss your blog yesterday???????? Sooooo sorry!!!! The waterfalls sound spectacular! Peaceful, breathtaking.... I'm a little envious. Seems as if your Mom did a fantastic job planning your summer. How are you going to top this? Well first of all, stay away from the bees. You just might be the sweetest kid around Croatia. Truly I am sorry that you have been stung so many times. What a bummer!!!! So you're taking siestas in Croatia? I think I had this conversation with your sister earlier in your trip. Do the natives speak CroatianSpanish? I think Grandpa did find a translation for the Croatian word for "nap". Today we went to an 80th birthday party for Pa Jays brother Jack. It was a long drive to a country club in the southern suburbs. Everyone was very impressed when we told them about your weeks in Israel with Pa Jay. Can you believe your trip is into its final week? What adventures you have had! We miss you and love you. Check!!! Over and out!!!

  3. It's interesting that you are getting stung so many times in Croatia. There is a legend that when that great (dead) Croatian patriot Bogislaw Stanislovski encountered 10,000 screaming and hungry Huns on the plains of Kilimanjaro, he was about to lead his troops in a hasty retreat when a bee stung his horse on the rump causing that noble steed to rush headlong into the oncoming Huns. By some miracle Bogi won the day. So, look at it this way . . .
