Real Salt Lake!!!!!
Hi there!!! Sorry I didnt blog yesterday. I was to busy. Yesterday we went to Utah Olympic park. It was a training center for skiers and snowboarders. I know your thinking, in the summer , how? Well I'll tell you if you didn't keep asking questions. The did the tricks into the water, not on bare land. At the park there was also a tobaggon slide witch was awesome, then there was a zip line that was also awesome, and finally a ropes coarse.
Today me and my dad went on a bike ride, the same trail that we did a couple days ago. But this time instead of only doing 2 there and 2 back we did 6 there and 4 back, we would have done the whole thing, but my dads tire popped. Then we went swimming at a pool. Now Im just laying low because I'm going to a fricken awesome Real Salt Lake game!!!!!!!!!! It startes at 8:00 here, which is 9:00 o'clock in Chicago. And I'm going to crack open my money that grandpa micheal who generously (not really) gave me $100 to spend and buy a jersey. Haleloyah!!!!!!!!

Hay there Mr. Awesome!! We should just call you BB (Busy Ben)... It's hard to imagine all the activities packed into one day. It is really (not figuratively) AWESOME!!!!! And now I understand the text photo from the game that your Dad send to Grandpa. You were wearing your new jersey. You DO know how to make your Grandpa happy. And silly you....do you really think he drinks too much? You know grandpa only wants the drinks that you drink and the deserts that you have...etc... and you're not here so he's starving.... I miss you all a lot. Your bike rides look like so much fun, not to mention tiring. You put us to shame. Looking forward to reading your next installment. Until then give my love to your whole family.

We had a great day on Evanston beach, but it would have been better if you had been there! Water was so, so warm and it was so beautiful. Missing you all and much love
ReplyDeleteDearest Ben . . . My previous reference to "short rides" was correct. I did distinguish between "short rides" and "short riders." Unlike some people, who shall go nameless, I take the time to proof read what I write. This stream of consciousness method of writing is great . . . if you are actually conscious and coherent. But I love you all the same.
ReplyDeleteI remember when Brother Josiah Moskowitz took Sister Mary Elisabeth Shlepstein on a first date (they got married on the second date) to a huge soccer game between the Utah Beards and the Salt Lake Lickers. They couldn't find a tee shirt to fit Sister Mary because of her substantial girth and hirsute, but feminine, figure. They liked their women zoftig in those days, the better to plow the fields and birth their children.
Anyway, the game was a blow out, with only the intervention of a Supreme Being saving the Lickers from total humiliation. Remember that this happened in 1848 when there were few records and the soccer ball was made from tree bark and rounded rocks. More on this later.
