I'm Pooped!!!!!
Dear all you followers, aw what the heck, what's up y'all? Today was really awesome. We started the morning with tv, then hot tub, then (as my mom has decided) we headed for a trail head all the way on the other side of a few mountains. The drive there was uneventful, but not so the way back (I'll tell you about that later). The walk started off pretty bad. The first half mile we were climbing to a height of 600 m (that is from the ground, not sea level). the rest of he hike was uneventful. We stopped at a cute restaurant on the side of the highway called silver spoon diner. We had to wait a while for the food to come, but it was worth it. I got a hamburger that was wicked awesome!!!! Later we went to a hike that let us stream jump, but there weren't any streams. It was completely dry!!! But it was soon made up for. We came for what we came for, donut falls.we had to walk down a stream then climbed up a lot of boulders to get to the falls. Now you would think donut falls would come out of a piece of rock shaped like a donut, but no, it's actually a waterfall that falls through a cave (more like a tunnel) shaped like a don't, then goes into a series of waterfalls, down to everything else I have just explained.
Then for the driving, as I said, the drive there was uneventful, but the way back. Uh-oh. My mom decided to go around the mountains I was asking about, and we went up in curves, and down in curves. It was so steep on the way down that my mom was going 60 mph without her foot on the gas!!!!! Then came white knuckle driving (Montenegro all over again). One lane, one a ledge on a mountain really, really high. All 3 of us kids were freaking out like "stop the car" or the best one "AAAAAAGGGGGGHHHHHH". Wasn't it smart of me to do that? I know right, so smart. Anyway, as we got home we got a whiff of burning rubber, it turns out, my mom was riding the brakes so much, that she burnt the tires!!! Later we got in the hot tub again. I am right now sitting on the couch, digesting dinner, which was chicken, green beans, and potatoes. If you know me you now that I only ate the chicken.
Well I got to go, my mom's yelling at me that I'm taking to long,
So Bye,
Adiyos Amigos,
Shalom Haverim (good bye friends in Hebrew),
See ya later suckas,
The one and only,
Mr. Awesome

Not much to work with, other than Mr. Awesome's ramblings. How about including some names of the places you are visiting? What I have gotten so far is that you have driven some really steep roads, gone to a neat restaurant for hamburgers. Oh yes, did you actually jump some streams? My sources tell me that the longest stream ever jumped in those parts (wherever they are)was accomplished by Sister Mary Elizabeth in the spring of '44. Her record of 35 feet was subject to review because there were reports of a grizzly scaring the beejesus out of her.
ReplyDeleteHELLOOOOOO MR. AWESOME!!!! helloooo mr. awesome. (There's an echo in here.............)
ReplyDeleteFirst of all, I didn't know you were going to camp. Is it a soccer camp or an all sports camp? Is it just one week? Very cool!!!! Are Sarah and Nicki going to camp as well? The house sounds great, the hot tub sounds greater... the mountain driving: not so great. So glad you made it "home" without any major incidences other than a less than perfect dinner. I'm leaving for Baltimore tomorrow so you won't hear from me for a few days. I'm sure Grandpa will keep you entertained.
I miss you already, and know you miss us terribly. Just TRY to enjoy your time out in Utah. I know it won't be easy.... but someone has to do it.
Lots of Love, Grandma JOANIE
