Sorry

Sorry
Sorry I haven't been blogging. We have no coverage and I've been to busy. to busy you might ask with what. I'll tell you if didn't stop asking questions. Last time I blogged it was before (I think) rafting, so I'll catch you up but yin not a lot of details. Rafting was a blast!!! During the rapids I sat at the front so I got a face full of water while everybody on barely got wet.
After rafting and Moab we went to Capitol Reef. We stayed in a place (in Capitol Reef)  called Friuta. We picked a lot of fruit (as you can guess). The apples were stupendous!!!  We then did a 6 mile hike, or new record. But it was extremely hard because it was in the water, it was called Sulfur Creek Trail. It was really beautiful.
Next we went to Bryce Canyon. We stayed in the in the nearby Dixie National Forest. It was pretty hot in then day, but at night it was freezing temperatures dropped almost to 50 f!!!! We looked at a lot of views, did some hikes that I can't remember. But the highlight of Bryce was the rodeo. There was a rodeo in town with every thing from bull riding to cattle lassoing.  There were a group of like 3 yrs. old to 5 yrs. old all riding sheep. One was so young that his dad had to hold him on the sheep.
Next we ventured to Arizona to go to Lake Powell. We got on the houseboat and the best part, it has a slide!!! I have spent about 4 hrs. on it in the one day we got, it was in a span between 11:00 and  8:00. So it was pretty impressive. We're now on our second day on the house boat.  It gets pretty hot, but since when it gets hot, we just jump of the side.

Now if you want more information contact my secretary (who is my mom)  for more info. Please call her every 5 minutes. She likes it, and if she says she doesn't, she's kidding.

Lake Powell out
Peace!!

  1. Ben! You are back. It's as though you have risen from the dead, you and Jesus. Your adoring fans have waited with bated breath for your keen insights, world views and general information as to the wanderings of the Traveling Sollingers. You are the cream in our tea, the gas in our tanks, the dung beetle in our sand box. You are Da Man!
That being said, your most recent account of the family's adventures recalls the time Sister Mary Elizabeth and her earnest, but slow, Brother Josiah embarked on an expedition (at the behest of the Mormon Tabernacle Cantor) to locate the Dixie National Forest, which had been misplaced during the Civil War. They were also told to keep an eye out for the Holy Grail, which was really a kiddush cup. Finding the former, but not the latter, Sister Mary was so elated that she braided her beard and declared it a National Feast Day, which really pleased the ever hungry Brother Josiah. In order to properly celebrate, the Great Kosher Kinetic Rodeo was held, featuring the ever popular All Day Pig Pull as well as the Brama Bull Toss, which required hospitalization for some of the near sighted participants. I kid you not!

Clearly you have too much time on your hands. I simply don't understand why you are all just sitting around all day, doing nothing! Yawn!! Get up off your bumm and go ride some sheep or something. And thanks for the tip on Mom loving our phone calls. I'll do my best to keep that up.
